Ramesh will be speaking at St. Luke’s Anglican Cathedral’s 10:00 am service. After the service, there will be a Q&A session where Cycle to Walk t-shirts and posters will be for sale and there will be an opportunity to make a donation.

Meet Ramesh and the rest of the team at the corner of Hwy 17 and Hwy 548 - the turnoff to St. Joseph’s Island.
- July 24, 2008 - Sudbury
Grab your bike and join Ramesh as the Sudbury Police escorts a Cycle to Walk ride in Sudbury. The ride begins at Science Centre North at 11:00 am, continues along Paris Street, crosses the Bridge of Nations - where we will stop for a photo op - and leads to Brady Street, finishing at Memorial Park.

Come out to hear Ramesh and the Cycle to Walk team talk about the campaign. It will take place a the Church of the Epiphany in Phoenix Hall at 7:00pm.
- July 31, 2008 - Thornbury
Join Ramesh as he rides into the Village at Blue Mountain Resort. Meet him and the Cycle to Walk team at the miniciple parking lot behind Wongs Restaurant at 5:00pm. It is around a 45 minute bike ride to the Village at Blue Mountain Resort.

- July 31, 2008 - Thornbury
Come and show your support at Centro Restaurant located at the Villiage at Blue Mountain Resort. There will be a celebration at 6:00pm for Ramesh where the Thornbury- Clarksburg Rotary Club will be donating $2,000.00 to the Cycle to Walk Campaign. Afterwards dinner will be served at 6:30pm and Ramesh will be available to answer any questions.
The cost for this event is $25.00 at the door. Please email if you are interested in joining the dinner and if you are interested in making a donation.

- April 5, 2008 - Whitehorse
Join us for a Bar-B-Que hosted by M&M Meats in their parking lot at the Chilkoot Centre. Enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages - all proceeds to go to the Cycle for Walk campaign. See you from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The Whitehorse United Church located at 601 Main Street is hosting a musical concert featuring Barry Kitchen and Friends starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 - all proceeds to Cycle to Walk.
Tickets can be purchased at Cycle to Walk office.
- April 10, 2008 - Whitehorse
Today is the ceremonial start of Cycle to Walk. At 9:00am Ramesh will hand cycle from his childhood home at 41 Firth Road in Riverdale along with students from Whitehorse schools to the Yukon Territorial Government,where a ceremony will be held to celebrate the beginning of the journey. Various dignitaries and supporters will be on hand to inaugurate the campaign and to bring recognition to the cause. After a brief ceremony, Ramesh will hand cycle to the SS Klondike for photo opportunities and then cycle up to the airport. Please join us to kick off the campaign here in Whitehorse, everyone is welcome and the support will be much appreciated. Hope to see you there!!

Art Lovers/Buyers
There is a previously loved art auction being held on Friday, April 11th at 5:30pm located at the Old Fire Hall on 1st Avenue. Doors will open at 4:30pm. Admission is $5.00. There will be wine and cheese (cash bar for alcohol).
Silent auctions will close at 5:30/6:30 and 7:30pm and there will be live auctions at 5:30 and 6:30pm.All proceeds will be donated to Cycle to Walk Society and Youth of Today Society.
We hope to see you there, there is a lot of beautiful art up for auction and it will be a lovely evening for all!

This is the official launch of Ramesh’s journey across Canada. Please join us for the inauguration of the campaign where Ramesh, his team and a host of dignitaries and supporters will kick off the campaign with a flourish. Rotarians, Boy Scouts, Marimba band, media and musicians will be on hand to bid the team farewell and good luck on their trek. Wear your favourite head cover for a hats off to Ramesh salute and come join us for this exciting milestone event. The kick-off starts Saturday April 12th at 10:00am at Mile Zero, foot of Douglas Street at Dallas Road, Beacon Hill Park

Ramesh will speak with students at the Chilliwack Secondary School at 8:30 a.m.

Ramesh will be giving a presentation to the Rotary Daybreak Meeting at 7:00 a.m. taking place at Coast Canada Inn.

A reception will be held at the Valemount Info Center at 7:00 pm where Ramesh will be the featured speaker.
- May 8, 2008 - Edmonton
Ramesh and Dr. Reddoch will be giving a presentation at the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel for the Edmonton Urban Spirits Rotary Club meeting.

All Weather Windows will be hosting Ramesh and the team at 18550 - 118A Ave NW and presenting Cycle to Walk a donation. We invite all to come, greet the team and welcome them to Edmonton. Event commences at 11 a.m.
- May 9, 2008 - Whitehorse
Golden Horn Elementary School will be holding a bake sale for the Cycle to Walk Society. This will be taking place during their Pine Grove Run in which they are hosting for other local Elementary schools. They will be selling Cycle to Walk t-shirts, wrist bands and tasty treats to the staff, parents and children participating in the run.
- May 10, 2008 - Whitehorse
The Ladies of Harley from the Yukon Harley Owners Group are hosting a Bar-B-Que at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Come join us at 21 Waterfront Place for some good food. Cycle to Walk t-shirts and wrist bands will also be on sale.
- May 11, 2008 - Edmonton
After services, commencing at 11:30am on Sunday, Kirk United Church, located at 13535 122 Ave N.W., Ramesh will be giving a presentation in the upper auditorium of the church. Everyone is welcome.
- May 12, 2008 - Edmonton
Ramesh will visit Grant MacEwan College to give a presentation and have open discussion with students about polio in our world and his personal story. He will also demonstrate on the hand cycle he uses on his cross Canada tour.
The presentation is being held on the Alberta College campus, Room 204 at 2:00pm.

Ramesh will be giving a presentation at the Petroleum Club for the Edmonton West Rotary Club.

Ramesh and the Cycle to Walk Team will be visiting the Steadward Centre for Personal & Physical Achievment at the University of Alberta from 10 -11:30am for a tour, exercise session, presentation and Q&A session.

Ramesh will be giving a presentation at the German Canadian Cultural Centre for the Edmonton Strathcona Rotary Club luncheon.

Ramesh will speak with students at Prince Charles Elementary School about his experiences, and why he was inspired to raise money for polio eradication, education, and rehabilitation.

Ramesh will be visiting the Tofield school to meet with and give a presentation to the children between 10:30 and 11:00am
- May 21, 2008 - Whitehorse
Selkirk Elementary School will be taking part in the Purple Pinkie Project at 12:00 p.m. The event will be taking place at the basketball court in front of the school. Wrist bands will be given out for donations.
- May 26, 2008 - Saskatoon
Monday, May 26th is the start of Rotary Week in Saskatoon. Ramesh will be attending a Flag Raising ceremony hosted by the Mayor of Saskatoon in front of City Hall at 11:00 am. Please come out as your support for the Cycle to Walk Society is greatly appreciated.

Ramesh will be the feature speaker and give a presentation at the Delta Bessborough Hotel. This event will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Saskatoon at 12:00 pm. If you are interested in attending please contact the Rotary Club of Saskatoon.

Ramesh and the Cycle to Walk road team will be having tea with His Honour, the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart. This will be taking place at 3:00 pm in the Signature Lounge at the Bessborough Hotel.
- May 30, 2008 - Whitehorse
Golden Horn Elementary school will be holding a ‘Hike to Walk’ fundraiser from around 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. Students will hike along trails up Mt. Golden Horn with different distances for different age groups. Intermediate classes may hike as far as 5km up the mountain, for a total of 10km, while Primary classes may hike up to 2km. All of the proceeds will go towards the Ramesh Ferris Cycle to Walk Campaign.
- May 30, 2008 - Saskatoon
Ramesh will be speaking at the Rotary District Conference at 10:00 am. The Conference is being held at the Teacher Credit Union Place, 35 22nd Street. All Rotarians are welcomed.
- May 31, 2008 - Regina
Come join Ramesh for his ride into Regina at 10:00 am. The police will be escorting him as he will cycle starting at the weight scales on #11 Highway. He will ride down Pasqua Street and Lewvan to Regina Ave. where he will go east and head towards the Legislative building. He will be welcomed at the Legislative building by the Mayor’s office, the Province of Saskatchewan and the Regina Rotary at 11:00 am.

The Regina Rotary Clubs will be hosting a barbeque for the Cycle to Walk Society. It will be held at Rotary Park, on Regina Ave. and Albert Street at 12:00 pm. Everyone is welcomed.

Come join Ramesh at the Living Spirit Center (St. Philip Anglican Church) at 3018 Doan Drive for an informal dinner. He will be giving a small presentation and will be available to answer questions. The time has yet to be determined.

Ramesh will be at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum at 3:00 pm for the start of the “Ride with Ramesh” fundraiser around Wascana Park. Come on out with your bikes, handcycles, wheelchairs, and anything else with wheels to support the Cycle to Walk Campaign.

Ramesh will be speaking to the students in grades 6,7 and 8 at Jack Mackenzie Elementary School at 10:00 am.

Ramesh will be the luncheon speaker at the Rotary Club of Regina at the Regina Inn at 12:00 pm.
- June 12, 2008 - Portage la Prairie
The Rotary Club of Portage la Prairie will be hosting a presentation by Ramesh at Yellowquill School at 8:00 am. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be available onsite. After the presentation Ramesh will have the opportunity to speak with the students at Yellowquill School and answer any questions they may have.
- June 12, 2008 - Whitehorse
The Yukon Conservative Association will be holding a barbeque fundraiser for the Cycle to Walk Society from 4:30pm until 7:00pm. The barbeque will be held at Shipyards Park where you can make a donation and get a Cycle to Walk wristband. We will be selling Cycle to Walk t-shirts as well so come on out and get a hamburger and support the Cycle to Walk Campaign.
- June 13, 2008 - Winnipeg
Ramesh is scheduled to meet with provincial Minister for Healthy Living, the Honourable Kerri Irvin-Ross. He will meet with her at the Manitoba Legislative Building at 9:30 am.

Join Ramesh and his Winnipeg Police escort for a ride down Wellington Crescent, Stradbrook, Harkness, Mayfair then Main St. to The Forks. The ride starts at the East Gate of Assiniboine Park at Wellington Crescent at 10:00 am and finishes at Oodena Circle at The Forks at 11:00 am. If you wish to participate, please be there ready to go at 9:45 am.

Ramesh will be presented with a cheque when he meets for coffee with Jacquie Madden at the Re/Max office at 10:00 am. The office is located at 1601 Buffalo place.

Ramesh will attend Post Polio Network Manitoba’s annual barbeque at 6:00 pm located at the Bourkevale Community Center, 100 Ferry Road. There, he will be presented with a cheque and will be available to answer questions about the Cycle to Walk Campaign.

Ramesh will be attending the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball game at 7:00 pm at the Canwest Stadium. He’ll be there to talk to the fans and spread the word about the Cycle to Walk Campaign. T-shirts and wrist bands will also be sold, so grab your baseball cap and come support Ramesh and the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
