- Sat, April 5, 2008
Thank you to Kim and Jerry owners of M & M meats who hosted a Cycle to Walk fundraising BBQ. The BBQ attracted many people, thanks for everyone who came out. A big thanks to Carmen Ingram and all the other hard working volunteers who cooked, sold t-shirts, and received donations.
Hometown Support and Childhood Memories!

I can’t believe we are only 6 days away from the ceremonial start of the Cycle to Walk campaign in Whitehorse. It seems as though every where I go people are wishing me well and saying Yukon is behind Cycle to Walk!
From Rain to Snow
- Thu, April 3, 2008
I’m now back in my hometown of Whitehorse, Yukon. During the week Cycle to Walk was invited to participate in interviews with CBC North and CKRW- this was a wonderful opportunity to give some updates on the great progress of the campaign!
Training Wrap Up!
- Fri, March 28, 2008
This week has been full of last minute training, packing, and media interviews! I participated in my first television interview with City TV Vancouver this past Monday! The camera person took some video clips as I hand-cycled along the sea wall here in Vancouver. During the taping of the last video clip I was about to hand-cycle towards the reporter and then out of all times the hand-cycle chain broke! After we all laughed about this unexpected chain break, we finished up the interview and then the bike was quickly fixed up by the great staff at Reckless Bike Store on Fir Street.

28 Days and Counting
- Fri, March 14, 2008
Our first blog entry, how exciting! So, 28 days to go and we’re feverishly working on the various components of organizing accommodations, events, the logistics of getting our vehicles on the road and of course, Ramesh is training diligently down in Vancouver (in the rain I’m told) to be ready for the April 10th ceremonial kick off in Whitehorse. I’m not sure any of us were prepared for the scope of organizing something this massive when we took on the project but all of our board members and those of us plugging away in the office are pulling together, and all systems should be go within the next 3 weeks.
