I’ve got to say – today was a challenge. It was raining for most of the day;
when it wasn’t raining, I was picking up all the spray from my tires and the logging trucks passing by.

This morning Allon, Doug, Chris and I had an opportunity to meet with Sam Sullivan, Mayor of Vancouver. Mr. Sullivan is so supportive of Cycle to Walk and wrote a letter of endorsement during the meeting.
Day 2 - Fort Langley- 50.1kms

The team started today at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal parking lot greeted by some Rotarians from Whitehorse and Vancouver.
Monte Worthington piloted the team through the busy roads into Fort Langley with his Shaw cable van.

Thank-you to all of the cyclists who joined me today in particular thanks Katherine, and Justine Scheck of Whitehorse who accompanied me through areas where I was unable to travel on the road ways with the support vehicles.

After dipping my first brace into the Pacific Ocean the team headed to Mile Zero where we were greeted by lots of supporters, friends, family, and dignitaries. Today was the official launch of the Cycle to Walk Polio campaign here in Victoria.
