Day 1 - Vancouver

by Ramesh Ferris, posted in Road Updates - Sat, April 12, 2008

Thank-you to all of the cyclists who joined me today in particular thanks Katherine, and Justine Scheck of Whitehorse who accompanied me through areas where I was unable to travel on the road ways with the support vehicles.

It was a beautiful day for cycling as well as a BBQ and music. Thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Royal Oak and Saanich Sunrise who hosted a BBQ, and provided Cycle to Walk an opportunity to share the message, sell t-shirts, wrist bands and meet the team! It was then on to BC Ferries and the Main Land of Vancouver, Thanks BC Ferries for letting me Cycle on to the Ferry with the support vehicles and making an announcement of Cycle to Walk to the other passengers.

This evening the team was busy organizing the motor home, and trailer.

Tomorrow we will start from the ferry terminal parking lot and making our way to Old Fort Langley!
