Day 6

by Ramesh Ferris, posted in Road Updates - Thu, April 17, 2008

Today was my second day of rest, However I found this hard to believe as I was awake at 6:30am (According to my father this would be sleeping in) to attend a meeting at the Chilliwack Mt.Cheam Rotary Club.

For the rest of the day we had team meetings, cleaned the hand-cycle chains, organized the trailer, and we even made our first bank deposit at Scotia Bank.

In the evening we drove on to Hope where we previously cycled to on day 4. Doug, Allon and I had an opportunity to speak at the Rotary Club of Hope, thank-you to this club for your donation to Cycle to Walk.

It was a long rest day today so I was looking forward to a good sleep as the Rocky Mountain climb starts tomorrow going up the Fraser Canyon.

Thank-you Reverend Gail Newell for opening up your home to the Cycle to Walk team.
