Yeah! The team made it to Kamloops today after five days of travel through major mountains, hillsides, rain, snow, sleet and wind. We are now well into our journey, and the excitement for Cycle to Walk continues to build. Today, as we were approaching the city, the local radio stations announced our arrival and motorists honked and waved to show their support. A young man stopped and gave the team a bag of change and said, “I believe in your cause and I like what you’re doing!” It’s a good feeling to hear that.

Over the next 3 days, the team will rest, restock supplies, participate in some school visits, Rotary meetings, and media interviews, and then continue our climb to the Rocky Mountains. I also plan to swim some lengths at the local pool, receive a deep tissue massage, and get a haircut. Thank you so much to the Best Western here in Kamloops for providing a discounted room, and to the Calvary Community Church for opening up your doors to the Cycle to Walk team.  We’re looking forward to our stay.
