Chris has done an amazing job setting up interviews with virtually every media outlet in the Kamloops area. That meant today really was more work than rest as I participated in four media interviews and a photo shoot with one of the local newspapers.  Also, the team delivered a presentation to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at Pacific Way Elementary School. Included is a picture of Mrs. Johnson’s Grade 3 class that was taken afterwards.

I was so excited to share the message of Cycle to Walk with each of the students, teachers and reporters I spoke with today.

Many of the reporters who come out are surprised to discover that polio is still an issue in our world.  I’ve also noticed that they’ve been fantastic in helping spread the message and raise awareness.  I just finished watching a Cycle to Walk interview that aired on one of the local television stations here in Kamloops, and it feels good to know we’re getting the word out.  Rotary International has made great inroads in the fight against polio, and they need our help for the final push.

I’m ecstatic Canada is hearing the message of Cycle to Walk! Together, we can make a difference.
