Today the en-route team welcomed Carly Ray, who came to us from Nipigon, Ontario. Carly will be with the team from here to Ottawa, helping us spread the important message of polio eradication, education, and rehabilitation. Thanks Carly for volunteering your time to help support Cycle to Walk.

And another big thank you to Randy for fixing my hand cycle’s tire. The main hand-cycle is now ready to hit the road as we head towards North Battleford on Wednesday morning.

While Randy was fixing the tires, I was in the living room with local kids talking about what polio is, how it affected me, and what Cycle to Walk is doing to help others around the world. I just love speaking with children. They see the importance of what needs to be done to eradicate polio.

A wonderful way to end the evening was giving our hosts, friends and children an opportunity to try out the hand cycles. Everyone did such a great job. You are all great sports!

It was a great day of rest, education, demos and fun!

Take Care Everyone!
