From Rain to Snow!

I’m now back in my hometown of Whitehorse, Yukon. During the week Cycle to Walk was invited to participate in interviews with CBC North and CKRW- this was a wonderful opportunity to give some updates on the great progress of the campaign!

Enroute team leaders Doug and Bertha Ayers accompanied me earlier in the week on a hand-cycle run from the bottom of Robert Service Way to the Carcross cut-off. This was a 42 km training ride with a 25 km per hour head wind, side shoulder snow and provided an opportunity to determine the appropriate distances needed between the hand-cycle and the support vehicles. There were many honks from motorists, and waving of hands. So many Yukoners are showing their support for Cycle to Walk.

Thank-you so much Yukon, it means a lot to me!
