Valemont has received the Community Superhost award in recent years, and I can most definitely see why. The team is being hosted by a couple named Jim and Doris who have a beautiful cottage that looks straight out to a creek, a pasture, and the mountains.  Valemount is nestled between three ranges: the Monashee, the Cariboo, and the Rocky Mountains.

As I was having tea this morning, I looked out the window at the beautiful view and saw about eight deer grazing on the pasture. The team is enjoying some down time, good company, and a very cozy home to relax in.

Today Cycle to Walk had the opportunity to spread our message with CBC Radio for the third time since the campaign launch.  We also met and did an interview with Andrew from the local station VCTV here in Valemount. As usual, campaign business carried over on to a rest day. Chris was busy working on media, Bertha was working on scanning newspaper articles that will soon be posted to the website, Lynne did laundry, and Doug sat in on a Cycle to Walk Society board meeting in Whitehorse via telephone.

It was nice to see Doug and Bertha’s daughter Kerry and her partner Chris travel from Edmonton to visit the team for a couple of days. Thanks for coming out guys, as I know Doug and Bertha have been looking forward to the visit.
