This morning Allon, Doug, Chris and I had an opportunity to meet with Sam Sullivan, Mayor of Vancouver. His Worship Mayor Sam Sullivan is very supportive of Cycle to Walk and wrote a letter of endorsement during the meeting.

Cycle to Walk had interviews with News 1130 Vancouver, and CKRW Whitehorse.

While this was happening, Bertha and Lynne were busy back in Fort Langley shopping for supplies, and doing laundry. Doug and I headed back to Fort Langley while Allon and Chris picked up some last minute items at Mountain Equipment Coop, and my back-up leg brace at GF Strong Rehabilitation.

I took a little nap in the afternoon and when I woke up I went downstairs and saw Bertha folding my underwear. I laughed to myself and thought, there goes most of my privacy for the next 6 months!

The team left Fort Langley late afternoon and cycled until about 7pm arriving into Deroche.

I’m staying at my Sister Jill’s for the next 3 nights.

It’s an extra special visit, as I get to see my dog Zaeda, which my sister has been looking after for the past couple of months and throughout the campaign.
