Today was the team’s fourth and final non-cycle day in Lloydminster, and I had the opportunity to speak with Mrs. Androschuk’s Grade 2 class at Ecole St. Thomas.

Mackenzie is a member of our host family here in town, and she attends Mrs. Androschuk’s Grade 2 class. Mackenzie smiled through our entire visit today, sporting her new Cycle to Walk t-shirt. She had learned about Cycle to Walk and polio over the weekend, and was excited to help share our message with her classmates.

Later, we met with Mayor Ken Baker on this last day in Lloydminster. Mayor Baker, thank you for taking time out of your busy day to meet the team and learn more about the campaign. Also, thanks for passing Cycle to Walk’s message on to the mayors of Maidstone, North Battleford and Saskatoon.  We’ll be visiting each of those centres over the next couple of days.

Saskatchewan hears Cycle to Walk’s message of polio eradication, education and rehabilitation, and the word is spreading.  We need everyone’s help to raise the awareness - and the funds - needed to prevent anyone from contracting polio ever again. Please tell your family and friends about the campaign.
