Ramesh cycled 53 kilometres today.  We stopped for the night just outside Cache Creek, but seem to be ahead of schedule for Cycle to Walk’s arrival in Kamloops.  Once there, the team will take a few days off from the road.  For the safety of all, the Ministry of Transportation suggested that Ramesh not cycle the Snake Pit—a dangerous strech of Highway #1 about 13 kilometres north of Lytton.  We heeded the advice and are glad we did: see the picture above if you’re wondering why.  There was no shoulder on the highway to allow for safe passage.

Ramesh plans to make up the 3.5 kilometres we had to drive through the Snake Pit in the Kamloops area.  Thanks to both CIFM and NL News in Kamloops for taking the time to speak with Ramesh about Cycle to Walk and polio eradication. We’ll see you soon!
