Cycle to Walk is a project that aims to raise funds and awareness to forward the global eradication of polio, to educate about the continuing need for immunization against polio and to support the rehabilitation of polio survivors in poor countries. As of September 30, 2008, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative has reported 1308 new cases of polio this year. Many of these cases will lead to children being paralyzed for life. We’ve had better than a cure to polio – prevention – for over 53 years now.
