Where's Ramesh Now?

Use the checkboxes above to choose whether you'd like to see Ramesh's planned route, his distance travelled, or both. His planned route is shown in blue and his distance travelled in red.

How are you getting this data?

Ramesh is carrying a GPS with him on his bike, and most days biking his latest position will be uploaded to the website. This will be updated as often as possible, but there may be days where the team doesn't have internet access and won't be able to update the data. If you're checking on one of those days, we apologize for the delay -- but do check back again soon to see where Ramesh is!

How to see this in Google Earth

You can follow along in your copy of Google Earth, if you wish. To do so, follow these steps:

  • If you haven't already downloaded Google Earth, you can do that here. Google Earth is free.
  • Load up Google Earth, go to the 'Add' menu, and choose 'Network Link'
  • Type in a name such as "Cycle to Walk - Ramesh's Route" in the Name field.
  • In the Link field, paste in the following: http://www.cycletowalk.com/~maps/c2w-map.kml
  • Uncheck "Allow this folder to be Expanded"
  • Press the "OK" button

Ramesh's route to date will now be displayed in the Places pane (left side of the Google Earth window, mid-way down) and automatically updated each time you load Google Earth.
